I am fascinated by the effect of breathwork because it is the most natural way to bring yourself to your own truth. The breath is always there. If you know how to use this personal instrument properly, it is a great medicine to balance mind and body.

As a psychologist, I believe in the power of conversation techniques to work on changing certain patterns. My own path, however, has also made me realize the value of not wanting to give words to everything, but rather to let go of the story and to experience purely what wants to be experienced. From the mind into the body. Beyond talking and thinking, to really feel what is actually there. I hereby assume that body and mind are inextricably connected. That is why I opt for a holistic approach by involving body-oriented techniques in the treatment of psychological symptoms and vice versa.

In my work at Jellinek Addiction Care I also work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment based Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and EMDR to assist people who are familiar with addiction, anxiety- and mood complaints and trauma. This knowledge offers me a wide range of interventions to deploy during breathwork coaching, depending on what suits your personal situation.
